Mothers Day Special w Shenzo Gregorio
Shenzo Gregorio, Violinist, guitarist, composer and event organiser continues to wow audiences with his multi- instrumental prowess and continued passion for connecting creativity with a cause. Inventor of the 40 hour Jammin and in its 5th year, with almost $75 000 raised towards MND research and support. COVID has also been the biggest challenge with overseas touring on hold has meant a refocus towards developing a solo performance, from which Shenzo presents his multi-instrumental, live and looped jazz trio show. As a classical trained violinist Shenzo discovered Gypsy jazz early on in his career and naturally added relative instruments into the mix (guitar, bass, mandolin) plus loop pedal means Shenzo can be the entire jazz trio, effortlessly taking solos on all instruments as if there was a real band in front of you. With years of band experience this isn’t something to be too surprised by. You may remember him from Sydney based Fourplay String Quartet, Aria Award winning ‘Monsieur Camembert’ or his invention ‘Shenzo Electric Stunt Orchestra’ which saw him perform in various parts of the world suspended in a harness playing upside down – (it has to be seen to be believed.) He’s also written and performed his original compositions with Adelaide Circus Company ‘Gravity and other Myths’ which has taken his music through Europe, South America, USA and Canada. Today he is regarded as the best improvising jazz violinist in Australia with his own quartet performing regularly in the South East Queensland region.
