Ash Perrow has been walking the boards of the Gold Music scene for almost 20 years with a memorable stage presence, siren like weissenborn slide and fingerstyle acoustic guitar. With his crafted folk, blues and contemporary song writing, Ash has a reputation for delivering heart filled shows that take audiences on a journey leaving them fulfilled and feeling more connected to the community around them.
Starting solo and then forming The Lamplights and The Brothers Calling, Ash has evolved with the changing world around him and is playing solo at The Dust Temple for the first time. His songwriting is top notch and he’s been the recipient of several songwriting awards including three Australian songwriting Awards, a QMusic award and an International Songwriting Award (ISC).
After a near death experience in 2016, Ash returned to writing and playing music with a renewed passion and purpose after a three year hiatus. In mid 2020, Ash hit the road and made a living for nine months busking from state to state avoiding lockdowns and managing frequent cancelations and changing restrictions. In June 2021 he was caught in a seven month lockdown in Sydney which led to a prolific creative songwriting surge which will be shared live for the first time.
There’s deep honesty in an Ash Perrow show as well as an infectious, cheeky sense of humour. Audiences can expect to walk out the door feeling connected to something greater and with a greater purpose in their step.
Special guest Ollie Twohill
Ollie Twohill is a 22-year-old singer songwriter based in the lush Northern Rivers of NSW Australia, who plays guitar based melodic indie pop/rock tunes. Have been playing live at venues for the past 5 years after learning my chops street busking throughout the NSW Northern Rivers and southern Gold Coast. Music is his passion and life……. my parents said I could sing before I could talk!
In 2022 Ollie is looking to build his emerging career and play to existing and new audiences. Off the back of four single releases in “Tapping Away”, “Stone Cold Killer” , “Mr Nightowl” and “Boots” , Ollie will be releasing two more singles – “Silk Dress” on February 24 and “Neverland” in May 2022. Ollie’s current release “Boots” has been well received and receiving airplay throughout the US, Canada, Europe, UK and South America.
