William Crighton Water and Dust Tour

“Crighton looks like a bushranger and sings like a sage” – Wagons, Double J

“Breathes fresh and strikingly vivid life into the umbrous bush of traditional Australian balladry” – Rolling Stone Magazine

“Even the squarest minds were left tripping” – Stack Magazine-

William Crighton grew up in small towns around the Riverina, NSW. A fusion of traditional music and unexpected experimentation, William’s songs explore vivid stories across colourful themes and musical manifestations.

“Life to me is about relationships. Not just with people. We’re all family one way or another. Navigating these relationships and staying afloat on the great emotional torrent is obviously not always easy but it certainly means that stories are everywhere. I like to find them and explore them” – William Crighton

Crighton has released 2 albums “William Crighton” 2016 and “Empire” 2018, the latter of which Dave Faulkner from the Hoodoo Guru’s, in the Saturday Paper called “The best album of 2018, domestic or international”.

His third album “Water & Dust” will be released February 11th 2022. The majority of the album was written by him and his wife and collaborator Julieanne, and features some incredible musicians including long-time friends and collaborators Matt Sherrod & William Barton, Midnight Oil’s Rob Hirst & Jim Mogine, Jeff Lang, James Haselwood & Luke Davison. Crightons music is not scripted to suit fad or trend. He and his family, by blood and by song, are genuinely travelling a different track.
